A compact selection of more than 40 parts for the John Deere 6090M from the 6M series. It covers trailer couplings, lighting and engine components.
Before ordering anything for a John Deere 6090M, take a look at the part you are removing. Most cab hardware, engine parts and hitch components carry a reference number, stamped into the metal or printed on a label, and comparing it with the number in the product description is the surest way to get a match. The type plate on the tractor confirms that the machine belongs to the John Deere 6M series. This page lists more than 40 replacement parts for this model from manufacturers such as GRANIT, Scharmüller, FEBI, Sauermann and BOSCH. They are new aftermarket parts, not dealer stock.
The cab section covers door locks, window locks and mirrors, plus separate replacement glass, so a cracked mirror does not automatically mean a new mirror head. There is a twin set of wiper blades and an LED spotlight work lamp for late evenings in the field. Lockable fuel filler caps come in several versions, a sensible addition for a tractor that is left parked at the edge of a field overnight. With mirrors and door locks, always confirm if you need the left or the right hand version.
Wiper blades are easy to overlook until the first wet morning with poor visibility. Lift the arm and run a finger along the rubber. Once the edge is rounded or torn, the blade smears instead of wiping and it is time to swap both blades of the twin set together.
Under the bonnet you will find an oil cooler, an engine mount, a V-belt, a viscous fan clutch and connecting rod bolts. A tip on those bolts: connecting rod bolts are normally stretch bolts and should not be reused. If you undo a big end to change a bearing shell, fit new bolts and tighten them to the engine torque procedure. For towing work there are drawbar frames and forced steering units for trailers with a steered axle. Keep the ball and its socket greased and check the locking mechanism for play, because a worn joint lets the trailer push and wander in tight turns.
Every model in this series has its own page showing the parts that fit that particular type, which is useful when several of them share the same yard:
