We list more than 200 parts for the John Deere 6105M from the 6M series. Trailer couplings, lighting and engine parts make up the bulk of the range.
More than 200 parts on this page fit the John Deere 6105M. Because this tractor spends so much of its working life pulling trailers and tankers, a good share of them concerns the hitch: automatic drawbars, flange hitches, a short drawbar frame, trailer couplings and air brake connector heads. There are also parts for trailers with forced steering.
ROCKINGER and Scharmüller supply the bulk of the hitching hardware. When you replace an automatic drawbar or flange hitch, compare the hole pattern and rail width of the unit currently on the tractor before you order, and make sure the locking mechanism snaps home cleanly once it is in place.
The air brake connector heads are colour coded: red for the supply line, yellow for the control line. If the rubber seal inside a head is cracked or hard, the system leaks and the trailer brakes less well. Replace the seal in good time and keep the cover closed whenever nothing is coupled, so dirt and water stay out.
Never fit a fuel line O-ring dry. A thin film of clean oil or diesel stops it rolling or nicking as you push the fitting home, which is exactly where a weep would start later.
Replace a V-belt before it lets go rather than after. At each service, look at the ribs on the inside: cracks running across them, glazed flanks or missing chunks all mean it is due. When you fit the new belt, spin the tensioner pulley by hand and check that it turns freely and quietly. An air temperature sensor that sends wrong readings can make the engine run poorly. Before replacing it, clean the plug and check the pins for green corrosion, which is often the real cause. Fender bushes are best renewed on one side all at once, so the fender stops rattling and the brackets do not wear oval.
The 6105M is part of the 6M series from John Deere. The type plate confirms the model, and the old part often carries a reference number you can compare with the details on the product page. For belts, seals and O-rings that number is the safest guide.
If you run more than one tractor from the 6M range, each has its own page:
The 6130M and 6175M belong to the same range. For anything else from the brand, go to John Deere parts.
