Whatever job is next on your John Deere 6130, start with more than 550 parts for the 6030 and 6030PR series, such as trailer couplings, lighting and electrics.
After years of hard work, a 6130 starts to show its age in the cab and at the hitch. This page brings together more than 550 parts for the John Deere 6130, from GRANIT, HELLA, Sauermann, Scharmüller and Walterscheid.
Engine work calls for O-rings, for example for the oil pump, along with seals and gaskets such as the one under the oil filler cap. Alternators, sensors, micro relays and multi-rib belts keep the electrics and auxiliary drives running. Bushes are listed too, including those for the mudguards. A multi-rib belt that squeals on a cold start or when the air conditioning kicks in has usually stretched or glazed. When you replace it, check the tensioner and pulleys as well, and make sure no oil or coolant is reaching the belt.
Before working on the electrics, disconnect the battery negative. Pull a micro relay straight out of its socket rather than prising it, or you risk bending the terminals in the fuse box.
The cab side includes tractor seats, hinges, and seals for the door hinges and handles. With a new seat, check that the mounting pattern matches the old one, and adjust the suspension to your own weight once it is fitted. A properly set seat makes a real difference to your back at the end of a long day. Work lamps and headlights take care of the lighting.
The rear of the 6130 takes drawbar frames and ball hitch drawbars, and there are forced steering parts for steered trailers. A practical tip: keep the ball of a ball hitch lightly greased and wipe it clean before coupling. Grit on a dry ball wears both the ball and the socket in the drawbar eye, which leads to slack and knocking as you pull away.
Check the serial plate for 6130. The same range includes the John Deere 6230, 6430, 6530, 6534, 6630, 6830 and 6930, and they look much alike at first glance. So take the reference number from the old part. On an alternator it is on the unit's own plate, on a sensor usually on the body or the connector. For a drawbar frame, compare the mounting points and the rail width.
For other models from the brand, the John Deere parts page lists them all in one place.
