For the PTO clutch there are internal plates. If the PTO slips under load or rattles when you engage it, the plate pack is often worn. Measure the thickness of the old plates and replace them as a set, because new plates next to old ones do not share the load evenly. Soak new plates in the correct transmission oil for a while before fitting, so the lining is saturated before it takes load for the first time.
On the fuel side there is a fuel pressure sensor and O-rings for the fuel line. Never reuse an O-ring, and wet it lightly with clean oil or diesel when fitting. A dry ring can tear or roll as it goes in, and even a small leak on the low pressure side draws air and makes the engine hunt.
Forced steering depends on a lock with no play in it. Each time you couple up, check that the lock engages cleanly and the ball shows no scoring. A little play grows quickly under load, and then the trailer no longer tracks cleanly through bends.
For the electrics there are alternators, micro relays, temperature sensors, pressure switches and oil pressure switches, plus LED work lights. If the battery is not charging properly, check the belt and the earth connection before ordering a new alternator.
Start at the type plate and note the serial number of your 6170R. Sensors, relays and switches nearly always carry a reference number that you can compare with the number on the product. For a drawbar or drawbar frame, the rail width and hole pattern of the current part decide fitment, and for clutch plates, measure the inner and outer diameter and the thickness.
