Trailer couplings, electrics and lighting for the John Deere 6175R are laid out clearly here. In all, more than 200 parts for this 6R series tractor.
More than 200 John Deere 6175R parts are on this page, from GRANIT, Sauermann, Scharmüller, ROCKINGER and Wabco. The 6175R belongs to the 6R series, and everything here has been matched to this model.
Starter motors and gear reduction starters sit next to micro relays, pressure switches and oil pressure switches. When a starter only clicks or turns slowly, test the battery and the ground strap first. A poor ground connection produces exactly the same symptoms as a failing starter and costs far less to fix.
Intermittent electrical faults often trace back to a relay. Swap the suspect micro relay with an identical one from the same fuse box. If the fault follows the relay, you have found it. An oil pressure warning on an engine that sounds healthy usually points to a faulty switch, but put a mechanical gauge on the engine before you trust that conclusion.
Drawbar frames in John Deere green, automatic drawbars, flange hitches, forced steering and air brake connector heads cover the rear of the tractor. Before ordering a hitch, measure the rail width of the existing frame and note the hole pattern, so the new part bolts on without modification.
The type plate confirms you have a 6175R. For sensors and switches, the reference number on the old part is the surest guide. Compare it with the details listed for each product on this page.
A word on work lights. Pressure washing is part of keeping a tractor clean, but holding the lance close to a lamp forces water past the seal. The glass mists up and the contacts corrode. Keep your distance. A lockable fuel cap makes sense on any tractor left overnight at the edge of a field, both to keep fuel where it belongs and to keep rainwater out of the tank.
For the steering, play in a ball joint is easy to find with two people. One rocks the steering wheel with the engine running, the other feels the joint. A knock before the wheel moves means it needs replacing.
If you run more than one 6R, each model has its own page with parts that fit it:
