Hooking up a trailer with a steered axle to a John Deere 6210R relies on a sound drawbar frame and forced steering that holds its line. For this tractor you will find drawbar frames, ball drawbars, support plates and adapter plates, along with forced steering in welded versions with a lock on both ends. Altogether this page lists more than 200 parts that fit the 6210R.
The fuel system on a modern tractor runs at high pressure, so never loosen a fuel line or sensor with the engine running. Switch off, wait for the pressure to drop and clean around the sensor before you remove it, as a speck of dirt in the fuel system can do real damage. Fit the new sensor with a clean seal and check for leaks on the first start.
Start with the type plate, which gives the model and serial number. For sensors, switches and relays, compare the reference number on the old part with the number shown for each item. For a drawbar frame, measure the frame that is fitted now, as the mounting depends on how the tractor is equipped. ROCKINGER, Sauermann, Scharmüller and Walterscheid are among the makers, next to GRANIT.
The red connector head belongs to the supply line and the yellow one to the brake control line. Mix them up when hitching and the trailer will not brake as it should. Check the rubber seal inside each head now and then. If it is split or hard, you will hear air hissing and the pressure will drop. Close the covers after unhitching so dirt and water stay out of the heads.
