This page brings together more than 200 parts that fit the John Deere 6215R from the 6R range. They come from GRANIT, Scharmüller, ROCKINGER, Sauermann and Wabco, and they cover three areas you will meet on any working 6215R: the hitch, the electrical system and the lights.
For the rear of the tractor there are automatic drawbars, drawbar frames finished in John Deere green, flange hitches, top drawbars and trailer couplings. Before ordering a drawbar or frame, measure the rail width, the pin diameter and the coupling pin on the part you are replacing. All three must match. With connector heads, red is the supply line and yellow is the control line. Mixing them up on the trailer leaves you without working trailer brakes.
A warning on the dash about fuel pressure, oil pressure or coolant temperature does not always mean an engine fault. A failed sender gives exactly the same warning. For the 6215R there are fuel pressure sensors, coolant temperature sensors, oil pressure switches, pressure switches and micro relays.
Test before you replace: check a temperature sensor with a multimeter on a cold engine and again on a warm one. If the reading does not change, or drops out, the sensor has failed. Always fit a new sealing washer with the new sensor, or coolant will creep past the thread. A micro relay that only works after you tap the fuse box is a classic sign of a sticking contact.
LED work lights give plenty of light for little current and stand up to the pressure washer. There is also a lockable fuel cap for the 5E to 6R ranges, which makes it much harder for diesel to go missing while the tractor is parked in a field.
