More than 600 parts make this page a solid starting point for the John Deere 6230. You will find trailer couplings, lighting, electrics and much more.
The John Deere 6230 from the 6030 series has plenty of hours behind it on many farms, and the more than 600 John Deere 6230 parts on this page are geared to keeping it working. Brands include GRANIT, Sauermann, GRAMMER, HELLA and Scharmüller.
There are O-rings for the oil pump, gaskets such as the one for the exhaust gas recirculation valve, seals, alternators, multi-rib belts and engine oil pressure sensors. An oil pressure warning on an engine that sounds healthy may well be the sensor, but put a mechanical gauge on the engine first. Real low pressure is not something to guess about.
Check a multi-rib belt for cracks across the ribs and for glazed flanks. A glazed belt slips, and the first sign is often an alternator that is not charging properly.
Internal plates for the wet disc packs are available. Always replace plates as a full set, and soak new friction plates in the oil used in that system before fitting. Plates installed dry can be damaged the first time they are put to work.
At the rear there are drawbar frames in John Deere green, ball type drawbars and forced steering with ball ends on both sides. Measure the rail width of the frame on your tractor before choosing a new drawbar. Bushes for various positions are on the page as well. On a ball type drawbar, the ball itself is what wears. Keep it lightly greased and check it with a wear gauge from time to time.
A gas strut that no longer holds the door or rear window open is a quick swap. Fit it with the rod pointing down where possible, so the seal inside stays lubricated. A cab hinge with play lets the door drop over time, and then the door seal no longer closes properly, letting dust and draughts into the cab.
The type plate confirms that you have a 6230. Gaskets, sensors and alternators nearly always carry a reference number on the old part. Compare it with the product details and you know it will fit.
Each of the other tractors in the series has its own page:
The John Deere 6534 also belongs to this series. Every model from the brand is listed under John Deere parts.
