For the John Deere 6410 from the 6010/6010SE series you will find more than 650 parts here, including lighting, trailer couplings and electrics.
A cab door that will not stay open, a headlight gone dull, a starter that struggles on frosty days: these are familiar jobs on a 6410. There are more than 650 John Deere 6410 parts on this page, with something for each of them.
For the cab there are hinges, gas struts and bushes. A door that sags or rattles usually has worn hinge pins or bushes. Sort those first, because a new gas strut on a misaligned door will not last. Fit a gas strut with the rod pointing down so the seal inside the cylinder stays lubricated.
Lighting covers headlights with dipped and main beam and work lamps, HELLA among them. On the engine you will find starter motors, alternators and the Powerband multi-rib belt. If the engine is reluctant to start in the cold, check the battery terminals and the earth connection to the block before blaming the starter. When changing the alternator, disconnect the negative terminal first so you cannot short the heavy charging cable.
There are also thermostats, regulator housing gaskets and O-rings, the tank sender O-ring among them. At the rear you will find automatic drawbars, drawbar frames and forced steering parts from Scharmüller and ROCKINGER, and for the ZF front axle external plates. Wabco and GRANIT are among the brands too. A flickering work lamp is usually down to a poor earth or a corroded plug rather than the lamp itself. On a drawbar frame, check the bolts that hold it to the rear housing as well. Once they work loose, the holes wear oval and the frame never sits tight again.
The type plate shows that the tractor is a 6410. For a headlight or hinge check left or right and the mounting, for a starter the number of pinion teeth. The old part often carries a reference number, which is the quickest way to be sure. For the multi-rib belt, count the ribs on the old one.
If you run more than one tractor from the 6010 series, the pages for the John Deere 6010, John Deere 6110, John Deere 6210, John Deere 6510 and John Deere 6810 show the parts for each of those models. That way there is no guessing whether a part from one tractor also suits another. The complete make is under John Deere parts.
