Choose from more than 750 parts for the John Deere 6520. The range for the 6020 and 6020SE series includes trailer couplings, lighting and electrics.
The John Deere 6520 earns its keep at the back end, so that is where this page starts. Of the more than 750 parts listed for this tractor, many concern coupling and towing: drawbars with ball or automatic hitch, drawbar frames from ROCKINGER and Sauermann, and forced steering rods for trailers with a steered axle. Lift arms for the three point linkage are here too.
Forced steering links the trailer axle to the tractor through a rod with a ball at each end. Those balls and their sockets take every turn on the headland, so check them for play whenever the trailer is unhitched. A joint that clicks or moves in its cup will make the trailer track badly and wear tyres. Keep the balls greased, fit the protective caps where they exist and replace both ends together if one is worn, so the steering stays even.
Under the bonnet the 6520 needs the usual care, and this page covers it with:
Wabco is also represented among the makers of these parts.
The type plate tells you the model and serial number of your tractor, which is your starting point for any order. For belt kits, look at the equipment on your engine first: a kit meant for a tractor without air compressor and air conditioning follows a different belt path from one for a fully equipped machine. For seals and sensors, read the reference number off the old part and compare it with the number shown with each item.
A thermostat that sticks shows up as an engine that never reaches working temperature or one that runs hot under load. When you change it, fit a new regulator housing gasket and make sure the small bleed hole sits at the top so trapped air can escape.
The 6520 sits in a family of tractors that look alike from the outside, but each has its own page so you only see parts that fit: the John Deere 6120, John Deere 6220, John Deere 6320, John Deere 6420, John Deere 6620 and John Deere 6820. The 6020 and 6420S belong to the same series. For the whole brand, see John Deere parts.
