With more than 650 parts, this page covers the John Deere 6930 from the 6030 and 6030PR series in depth, from trailer couplings to lighting and electrics.
Hinges that creak, a door seal that lets in dust, a headlight that has gone dim: on a John Deere 6930 the cab often asks for attention before the engine does. This page lists more than 650 John Deere 6930 parts from GRANIT, Sauermann, HELLA, Walterscheid and Scharmüller, and the cab is a good place to begin.
For the cab there are gas struts, bushes, cab hinges and seals for the door hinges and pull handles. Lighting covers work lamps such as an oval upright spotlight, and headlights for left or right with dipped and main beam.
Tip: when replacing a cab door seal, clean the flange of old glue and dirt first and fit the new seal without stretching it. A stretched seal shrinks back over time and leaves gaps at the corners, which is just where dust and draughts get in. Start at the bottom of the door and work round, pressing the seal home with your thumb or a rubber mallet. If the door still rattles afterwards, the hinge bushes are worth a look, as worn bushes let the door drop and stop it closing squarely on the seal.
Drawbar frames, drawbars with a ball and forced steering units with a ball on both sides take care of trailer work. When fitting a new thermostat, always renew the housing seal too and bleed the cooling system afterwards.
Read the type from the identification plate. With O-rings, gaskets and sensors, the reference number on the old part or its packaging is the safest guide, and you can compare it with the items on this page.
Alternators and micro relays are regulars on a tractor with high hours too. If the battery charges poorly, check the belt and the earth connection first. With a relay, match the pin count and the diagram on the case so the replacement is the same type. Headlights that have gone dull put less light on the road, so replace them before the dark evenings set in.
The other tractors in this series each have their own page with the parts that fit them: John Deere 6130, John Deere 6230, John Deere 6430, John Deere 6530, John Deere 6630 and John Deere 6830. The 6534 belongs to the same range. Every other John Deere model we carry is listed under John Deere parts.
