More than 140 parts that fit the John Deere 7215R from the 7R series are listed here, among them trailer couplings, lighting and electrics.
Nobody buys a 7215R to pull a light trailer. Steered low loaders, big dump trailers and tankers on a fixed drawbar need a solid hitch setup, and that is where this page puts its weight. Of the more than 140 parts that fit the John Deere 7215R, many deal with hitching and towing. Manufacturers include Scharmüller, ROCKINGER, Sauermann, Walterscheid and GRANIT.
A steered trailer axle needs a second link to the tractor alongside the ball or hook. For that you will find forced steering parts here, such as an insert for a Pick-Up Hitch and an inner part connecting the ball to the steering rod. Underneath sit the drawbars, drawbar frames, support plates and adapter plates. For implements with a drawbar eye there are flange hitches, and a drawbar support takes the strain out of lining up a heavy drawbar.
Trailers with air brakes run two lines back from the tractor, and connector heads for those lines are available on this page. Keep the dust caps shut whenever nothing is coupled, and each time you uncouple, check that the rubber sealing ring in the head is intact. A split ring hisses audibly and makes the compressor work harder than it should. And never swap the colours, red is supply and yellow is brake.
For the driving clutch there are internal and external plates. Replace them as a full pack, and soak new friction plates in the correct oil for a while before fitting so they do not run in dry. You will also find LED work lights in several shapes, O-rings for the fuel line, sealing rings and telescopic mirror arms, which earn their keep on the road with wide implements.
The 7215R belongs to the John Deere 7R series. The Typ number and serial number on the type plate tell you exactly which machine you have. For hitch parts, also measure the rail width and hole pattern of what is fitted now, and look for a reference number on old clutch plates or a lamp housing.
Other tractors in the series each have their own page:
