More than 110 parts in our range fit the John Deere 7280R from the 7R series. Start with trailer couplings, lighting and electrics, where the choice is widest.
The 7280R is the kind of tractor that ends up in front of heavy haulage trailers, wide drills and trailers with a steered axle. That puts the hitch under load every working day. On this page you will find more than 110 new replacement parts for the John Deere 7280R, from GRANIT, Scharmüller, ROCKINGER, Sauermann and Walterscheid, selected for this particular model.
The forced steering components deserve a little extra care. The insert in the Pick-Up Hitch and the rod to the trailer are loaded on every turn. Grease the ball and the insert regularly and feel for play whenever you unhitch. A worn insert means the trailer no longer follows the tractor cleanly, which you notice straight away on tight corners in the yard.
The red connector head is the supply line, the yellow one is the control or brake line. Swap them and the trailer will not brake as it should. When you replace a head, look at the rubber seal inside it as well. A cracked seal leaks air, the compressor cuts in more often and the reservoir bleeds down overnight. Keep the dust caps shut whenever nothing is connected so grit and water stay out.
Check the data plate on your 7280R and compare the reference number on the old part with the details shown on the product. With drawbar frames and support plates, also look at the mounting on the tractor before you order, since that decides which hitch system will bolt on.
The 7280R is part of the 7R series. The other models in that range each have their own page with their own selection, useful if there is more than one John Deere in the yard:
