Within the 7030/7030PR series, the John Deere 7730 has its own page with more than 300 matching parts, including trailer couplings, lighting and electrics.
On most farms a John Deere 7730 from the 7030 series does the heavy work: big mower combinations, haulage and cultivation. More than 300 replacement parts fit it, from GRANIT, Walterscheid, ROCKINGER, Sauermann and Scharmüller.
Engine parts include oil pump O-rings, a gasket for the exhaust gas recirculation valve and engine sensors. An aircon compressor keeps the cab cool in summer. For the driver there are air suspended tractor seats, and LED work lamps with a wide beam give you a clear view after dark.
For the PTO there are shaft end pieces and internal and external plates for the PTO clutch. A tip from the workshop: always replace internal and external plates as a complete set, and soak the new plates in clean transmission oil for a while before assembly. Plates fitted dry can burn the first time the PTO is engaged. Check the O-rings and seals on the piston too, since a small leak there will let the clutch slip.
At the rear you will find drawbar frames, ball hitches and parts for forced steering on trailers. For air brakes there are connector heads. A hiss after coupling up usually means the seal in the connector head has failed, so replace the rubber or the whole head. Pins keep the hitch and lower links in place.
Check the serial plate to make sure you have a John Deere 7730. On a PTO shaft end piece, count the splines, and on clutch plates measure the inner and outer diameter and the thickness. Compressors and sensors carry a reference number you can match against the product page.
A ball hitch carries a lot of nose weight from heavy trailers and tankers, and the ball wears slowly as a result. Keep it lightly greased so the trailer eye turns smoothly, and check it regularly for flat spots and ridges. Replace a missing or worn retaining pin straight away. If you run forced steering, inspect the ball ends and rods of that system as well, because play there makes the trailer wander behind the tractor.
Two more models from the series have their own pages with the parts that fit them:
