John Deere 8345R parts for the cab, air brakes and engine

Long days in an 8345R show up first in the seat, the lighting and the hitch. This page collects more than 200 parts that fit this John Deere, from GRANIT as well as HELLA, Rockinger, Scharmüller and Sauermann.

Engine bay and air conditioning

Under the bonnet the 8345R is covered with engine oil pressure sensors, temperature sensors, O-rings for the EGR valve, gear reduction starters and aircon compressors. Small items like an O-ring or a sensor can stop a big tractor in the middle of a job, so they are worth keeping on the shelf.

If the aircon compressor has to come out, replace the receiver drier at the same time and flush the system before refilling. Dirt or moisture left behind by the old unit will otherwise shorten the life of the new one. Check the compressor oil quantity too, since too much or too little costs cooling and service life.

Seats, seals and lights

For the driver there are air suspended tractor seats, including a Maximo Professional. Seals for the door hinges and pull handles keep draughts, dust and rain out of the cab. Work lamps light up the field at night, and a beacon keeps the tractor visible on the road.

If an air seat slowly sinks, listen for a hiss around the air spring and valves with the tractor standing still. A small leak keeps the seat compressor running until it gives up. Check the plug and the fuse before replacing anything.

Hitching and trailer brakes

At the rear there are ball 80 drawbars, drawbar frames and forced steering parts, such as inner parts that convert from a ball to a K50 connection. For trailer air brakes you will find connector heads for the red supply line and trailer control valves.

A useful check: the rubber seal inside a connector head often cracks or hardens long before the head itself is worn. With the trailer coupled and the compressor running, spray some soapy water on the coupling and bubbles will show the leak straight away. Close the dust flap whenever nothing is coupled, so dirt stays out of the line.

Finding the right part for your 8345R

The serial number on the type plate is the place to start. The 8345R belongs to the 8R/8RT range, and when in doubt, the reference number on the old part settles it. Compare that number with the product details before you order.

If you run more tractors from this range, the John Deere 8370R, 8360R, 8335R, 8320R, 8310R and 8295R each have their own page of matching parts. The 8260R and 8285R belong to the same family. Running another Deere next to your 8345R? Head to John Deere parts.
