From lighting and electrics to cab parts and accessories, this page lists more than 90 parts that fit the John Deere 9630, so you can skip the long searches.
A John Deere 9630 tends to work big acreage and long shifts that run well past dusk. That puts the lights, the starting system and the hydraulics under steady pressure. This page covers more than 90 parts for the 9630, a tractor from the 9030 series, made by GRANIT, HELLA, MAHLE, Cobo and Denso.
There is both a starter motor and a gear reduction starter. Changeover relays and sensors, including an engine oil pressure sensor, cover the rest of the electrical side. In the cab, a Denso air conditioning compressor keeps the climate system running, and handles, unheated mirrors and gas struts can be replaced too.
Work lights around the cab are available, including LED versions. For road use there are headlights with integrated indicators, rear lights and a beacon. If a lamp keeps failing, check the plug and the earth connection before fitting another bulb. On a heavy tractor that vibrates a lot, a loose or corroded contact is more often the cause than the lamp itself.
A MAHLE hydraulic oil filter is listed for the hydraulic system. When changing it, wipe the sealing face on the filter head clean and coat the rubber seal of the new filter lightly with clean hydraulic oil, so it seats evenly and does not tear as it tightens. Tighten by hand and check for leaks after a short run. On the engine there are O-rings, among them one for the EGR valve, plus seals including a rear seal.
If the starter turns slowly or only clicks, check the battery cables and the earth from engine to frame first. A gear reduction starter draws a lot of current, so even a poor contact leaves it short of voltage. A changeover relay that sticks now and then is best replaced straight away, because that kind of fault always returns at the worst moment. After fitting a new air conditioning compressor, the system needs evacuating and refilling with the correct amount of refrigerant and oil so the compressor never runs dry.
The serial plate shows the exact model, so confirm that it reads 9630. Tractors in the 9030 series look much the same from the outside. Compare any number stamped or printed on the old part with the reference number shown with the product. On a filter, that number is usually easy to read on the canister.
