Our range holds more than 300 parts that fit the John Deere 5085M from the 5M series, such as lighting, trailer couplings and electrics.
The John Deere 5085M carries a lot of electrics, and that is where a good share of the parts on this page sit. From relays and sensors to the aircon compressor, there are more than 300 new parts that fit the 5085M, from GRANIT, HELLA, Sauermann, Walterscheid and Cobo.
For the electrical system you will find micro relays and standard changeover relays, sensors, for example for fuel pressure, and for lighting there are headlights and work lamps, including LED work lamps. Rear-view mirrors complete the all-round view.
A tip on relays: mind the difference between a make contact and a changeover contact, and look closely at the terminals on the old relay. A relay with the same housing but a different pin layout will plug into the socket, yet switch the wrong way. If in doubt, borrow a working relay with the same marking from another circuit to test.
For the climate system there are aircon compressors. After replacing a compressor, the system has to be evacuated and recharged by someone with the right equipment and qualification, and the oil in the compressor has to match what was lost from the system. For engine cooling there are thermostats, and for the belt drive V-belt tensioners.
If the engine never gets properly warm or runs hot, the thermostat is an obvious first suspect. Renew the seal along with it and watch the fitting direction, with the bleed hole at the top, so no air stays trapped in the cooling system. A V-belt tensioner that rattles or jerks should be replaced together with the belt.
You will also find O-rings, one of them for the master brake cylinder, air receiver gaskets, seals and plugs. Gas struts hold the door open, and for hitching there are drawbar balls.
Read the type plate first and confirm you have a 5085M. Relays, sensors and compressors nearly always carry a reference number, which is the surest way to choose the right part. For lamps, also compare the mounting, surface or flush, and the bulb type.
In the John Deere range, the 5085M is one of the 5M series tractors. The other models in the series each have their own page with the parts for that tractor:
The John Deere 5075M is part of this series too. Every other tractor of the make is on John Deere parts.
