View more than 250 parts for the John Deere 8230 from the 8030/8030T series. Trailer couplings, lighting, and steering and front axle parts stand out.
A John Deere 8230 often pulls the heaviest trailers on the farm, such as an air braked tipper or a semi trailer with forced steering. This page lists more than 250 John Deere 8230 parts from GRANIT, Scharmüller, Sauermann, GRAMMER and ROCKINGER, with a good deal of attention for what sits between tractor and trailer.
If the trailer brakes more slowly than usual, start with the connector heads. A damaged sealing ring or dirt in the coupling lets air escape. If they are tight, the trailer control valve may be the cause. After any repair, test the trailer brakes at low speed in the yard first.
On the engine side you will find sensors such as the oil pressure sensor, O-rings for the EGR valve, seals, gear reduction starters and aircon compressors. If the oil pressure light comes on, check the oil level first and, if needed, measure the pressure with a separate gauge. If the pressure is fine, the sensor is the likely culprit.
For the cab there are tractor seats, among them air suspended Maximo seats, and LED work lights with a flood beam. Ball joints are available for the front axle.
A PTO shaft end with play or worn splines makes the driveshaft knock and wears out the implement's coupling faster. Check that the driveshaft lock clicks home every time you hitch up, and keep the stub clean and lightly greased. Always renew the EGR valve O-ring when the valve comes off, even if the old one looks fine. LED work lights need little care, but a loose plug or a damaged cable at the cab is a common reason for flickering. On forced steering, grease the joints regularly so the trailer tracks cleanly in tight turns.
Model and serial number are on the type plate. Sensors, starters and trailer control valves often carry a reference number on the old part, which you can compare with the item on this page.
