Getting your Deutz-Fahr Agrotron 4.85 back in shape? Browse more than 200 parts, from lighting and trailer couplings to steering and front axle components.
On many farms the Agrotron 4.85 is the do-everything tractor: feeder wagon in the morning, mower in the afternoon, trailer work in between. That kind of life adds up to a lot of small jobs. This page lists more than 200 parts that fit it, from GRANIT, HELLA, Rockinger, PROBOSS, Victor Reinz and others.
For the engine there are cylinder head gaskets, valve cover gaskets, a front cover gasket and V-belts for the engine cooling drive. Seals for the hydraulic pump and other hydraulic points are also available.
If the head is coming off, look closely at the old gasket before it goes in the bin. Head gasket thickness depends on how far the pistons stand proud of the block, and the old gasket carries markings that tell you which thickness was fitted. Order the same, or measure piston protrusion again if pistons have been replaced too. Tighten the head bolts in the specified sequence.
When a roof hatch strut no longer holds the hatch open, prop the hatch up while you swap it. Where possible, fit the new strut with the rod pointing down so the internal seals stay lubricated.
If a work lamp or the driving lights fail, check the rocker switch and its plug before replacing bulbs. The switches for this tractor use flat blade connectors on the back, so take a photo before unplugging them and every wire goes back in the right place. A switch that runs warm or crackles usually has a poor contact and can damage the wiring loom over time.
A new V-belt for the engine cooling drive stretches a little during its first hours. Check the tension again after a day of work and adjust if needed.
The data plate confirms whether it is an Agrotron 4.85. After that, the number on the part you removed is the best reference to compare with the product details. For a drawbar, the rail width and pin diameter on your linkage decide the fit.
