If the lights on your Deutz D 7007 have failed or the electrics are playing up, this page lists more than 200 parts that fit this 07 series tractor.
On plenty of farms a D 7007 from the 07 series still pulls the trailer or the muck spreader. To keep it that way there are more than 200 parts for this model, from GRANIT, LUK, HELLA, Bosch/Rexroth and VICTOR REINZ.
For the brakes you will find brake shoes and the matching return springs. Always fit new springs with new shoes. A spring that has been heat cycled for years loses tension and lets the shoe drag lightly on the drum, which shows up as a warm drum after a run on the road.
On the steering side there are ball joints and a bolt set for the steering valve. If the steering has play, have someone rock the wheel back and forth while you feel each joint by hand. That quickly tells you which one is worn. Use a fresh split pin every time you refit a joint.
For the clutch there are clutch plates and thrust bearings, including a sealed release bearing for the main clutch.
Around the Deutz engine there are crankshaft seals, sealing rings and shims. On the exhaust side you will find exhaust manifolds and gaskets. Old manifold studs and nuts often come off with half the rust attached, so use new fixings and a new gasket, or the joint will be blowing again within weeks.
In the fuel system, a repair set for the feed pump helps when the engine is slow to fire or needs lengthy bleeding after standing. A lockable tank cap with a vent is also available.
For the electrics there are starter motors and alternators. A sluggish starter is not always at fault itself, so check the battery terminals and the earth connection first.
On a tractor of this age, something has usually been replaced along the way. That makes it worth laying the old part next to the new one. A number stamped into or printed on the part is the quickest point of comparison. The tractor type plate gives the model and chassis number, which help when you are choosing between two versions of a clutch plate or starter.
These Deutz tractors from the same 07 series have their own pages too:
Useful when there is more than one classic in the yard. Newer and other models are under Deutz-Fahr parts.
