Getting your Deutz-Fahr AgroStar 4.61 back in shape? More than 250 matching parts are grouped here, led by trailer couplings, electrics and lighting.
Rebuilding the engine on an AgroStar 4.61 tends to stall on small items: liner shims, a crankshaft seal, an exhaust gasket. This page brings together more than 250 replacement parts that fit this Deutz-Fahr, made by GRANIT, HELLA, ROCKINGER, VICTOR REINZ and MAHLE.
For the block you will find shims for the cylinder liners, crankshaft seals, exhaust gaskets and sealing rings, including one for the lift shaft. There are also seals for the hydraulic pump and a repair set for the feed pump, which lets you recondition the pump rather than replace it.
A workshop tip on liner shims: once a liner is seated, measure how far its collar stands proud of the block with a dial gauge at several points around it, and only then choose the shim thickness. With too little protrusion the head gasket will not seal on that cylinder. With too much, the liner can crack when the head is torqued down.
If the battery stops charging, the alternator is the first suspect. Several alternators and starter motors fit the AgroStar 4.61, and they differ in flange and pulley, so compare the mounting on the old unit before choosing. The driveline is covered with clutch plates with torsion damper, the brakes with fixed calipers. In the cab, gas struts for the door and windows and replacement tractor seats take care of the operator.
Before ordering a clutch plate, count the splines on the old one and compare the outside diameter. With the tractor split anyway, look at the torsion damper springs on the old plate. If they are loose or worn in their windows, that was likely the cause of judder when pulling away. Check the friction face of the flywheel too before the new plate goes in.
At the rear you will find drawbars, drawbar frames and trailer couplings, among them ROCKINGER. Measure the rail width and the thickness of the locking pin on the frame that is fitted now, and you will know which drawbar slides into the rails.
The type plate gives you the type and serial number. More reliable still is the number stamped or cast into the old part, which you can hold directly against the parts on this page.
Other tractors in the AgroStar range have their own parts pages. If you run more than one, check fitment separately for each model:
