Lighting, trailer couplings and electrics for the Deutz-Fahr Agrofarm 420 from the Agrofarm series: more than 130 matching parts in one clear overview.
On many farms an Agrofarm 420 handles the jobs that come round every day: feeding, carting muck, fetching a trailer. That is exactly when you want it to start first time in the morning, with working lights and a seat you can sit in all day. This page lists more than 130 parts for this tractor, from GRANIT, ROCKINGER, Cobo, GRAMMER and HELLA.
For reliable starting there are starter motors and fuel filters. On the engine itself you will find valve cover gaskets, front cover gaskets, crankshaft seals and seal kits, plus seals for the hydraulic pump. For the air conditioning there are V-belts and compressors.
A tip for the fuel filter: if possible, prime the new filter with clean diesel and then bleed the system with the hand pump until no more air bubbles come out of the bleed screw. Starting with air in the system means the starter cranks for nothing and drains the battery. Work cleanly, because any grain of dirt that drops into the line during the change goes straight to the injection pump. A leaking crankshaft seal shows up as an oily front or rear face on the engine block. Fit the new seal square, with a little oil on the lip, and ideally just off the old wear track on the shaft.
In the cab, new gas struts keep the roof window open again, and a seat from the GRAMMER Compacto line makes long days a lot more comfortable. For lighting there are flood beam work lamps and rear lights. If only the glass of a lamp is broken, check first whether a separate lamp glass is available, so the whole housing does not need replacing. At the rear there are ROCKINGER drawbars, including ball versions.
Check the type plate to confirm that you have an Agrofarm 420 in front of you, and compare the number on the old part with the product you choose. With a starter motor, also look at the number of pinion teeth and the direction of rotation. With a drawbar, the rail width of the frame is what counts. If you also run a Deutz-Fahr Agrofarm 410, that model has its own page with the parts intended for it. All other tractors from the brand are under Deutz-Fahr parts.
