Finding the right part for a Deutz-Fahr Agroplus 87 takes little time here. Choose from more than 80 items such as lighting, trailer couplings and electrics.
The Agroplus 87 tends to be the handy tractor on the yard, doing the feeding, the tedding and the short trailer runs. That means plenty of clutch work, plenty of hitching and a lot of road miles, and those are exactly the areas where parts wear. More than 80 parts are available for it, from GRANIT, Cobo, ROCKINGER, Walterscheid and Bosch/Rexroth.
There is a clutch plate for the drivetrain. If you are splitting the tractor to change it, inspect the release bearing and the friction face of the flywheel while everything is apart. Scoring or hot spots on the flywheel will make a new plate slip again before long, and the bearing will never be easier to reach. Around the engine there is a vibration damper, seal kits, sealing rings and gaskets for the water pump and thermostat housing, plus an alternator.
An Agroplus 87 spends time on public roads, so the lighting matters. There are headlights, replacement lamp glasses, rear lights and work lamps. For the cab you can replace mirrors and the gas struts that hold up the roof hatch. Push button switches are also available, for example for the starter, complete with connection cable.
Drawbars and a top drawbar cover the hitch. Before ordering, measure the rail width and the locking pin diameter on the part that is fitted now, so the replacement drops straight in.
If the charge warning light comes on or the battery keeps going flat, check the drive belt, battery terminals and earth strap before fitting a new alternator. A slack belt or a corroded clamp produces exactly the same symptoms. If the alternator really has failed, compare the flange and mounting of the old unit with the new one. The vibration damper deserves a look too: cracks in the rubber or an outer ring that no longer runs true mean it should come off before the crankshaft suffers.
The serial plate tells you exactly which model you have. Agroplus tractors look very similar, so check that it reads Agroplus 87. If the old part has a number on it, compare it with the reference number listed with the product on this page, which is the quickest way to avoid ordering the wrong sealing ring.
The larger models in the range each have a page of their own:
