Find the right part for the Deutz-Fahr Agrotron 85 among more than 200 items for the Agrotron series, such as trailer couplings, lighting and electrics.
Head gasket, roof hatch strut or a new drawbar: these are the jobs that tend to come up on an Agrotron 85. This page carries more than 200 parts that fit the model, from GRANIT and from established suppliers such as HELLA, ROCKINGER, VICTOR REINZ and Elring.
Gas struts hold the roof hatch and other panels open on the Agrotron 85. If the hatch creeps shut on its own, the strut has lost its charge. Where there are two struts, replace them as a pair so both sides push equally. You will also find wide-angle mirrors, work lamps, rocker switches for the lighting and symbol stickers for the windscreen and controls.
Taking the engine apart calls for a cylinder head gasket, a valve cover gasket and often the front cover gasket too. There is also a separate seal for the hydraulic pump. Before reassembly, check the workshop manual to see whether the head bolts may be reused. On many engines they are stretch bolts that must be replaced after one tightening. Torque the head down in stages and in the specified sequence, otherwise it can distort and the new gasket will fail anyway. Bolt sets are listed on this page as well.
V-belts for the engine cooling drive and starter motors complete the engine side. A belt with glazed, shiny flanks will slip even when the tension seems right.
Drawbars and Piton Fix hitches cover the rear, and ball joints the front axle steering. With a new drawbar, make sure the locking pin drops in cleanly before the first trailer goes on. Play in a ball joint shows up as wandering on the road. Have someone rock the steering wheel while you watch the joint, and any movement will be obvious straight away.
The serial plate comes first, as the Agrotron range includes many different models. After that, the reference number on the old part is your best guide. On gaskets it is often stamped right into the material. The Agrotron 90 and Agrotron 105 also belong to this range. The models below have their own pages with matching parts.
