Before ordering an adapter plate or drawbar, measure the rail width and the bolt hole pattern of the plate that is fitted now, and check the pin diameter of the lock. A tip if you change an injection line yourself: cap every open connection straight away. A single grain of dirt in the injection system can upset an injector, and that is not a quick fix afterwards. Run the union nuts on by hand first so the line sits without tension, then tighten them. Swap the O-rings at the same time, since a ring that has been compressed once rarely seals well again.

When a gas strut no longer holds the bonnet or rear window, replace them as a pair. If one has given up, the other is rarely far behind, and two new struts keep the panel straight. Fit them rod down where you can, so the seal inside stays lubricated and the strut lasts longer.
