With more than 300 parts, the Deutz-Fahr AgroPrima 6.06 is well covered on this page. Trailer couplings, lighting and electrics are each grouped together.
An AgroPrima 6.06 tends to stay on the farm for many seasons, and sooner or later the clutch, brakes and charging system need attention. This page carries more than 300 parts for the 6.06, from brands such as GRANIT, HELLA, ROCKINGER, LUK and MAHLE.
For the clutch there are clutch kits, thrust bearings and crankshaft seals. If you are splitting the tractor for a new clutch, change the thrust bearing and the seal while it is apart. A whining bearing or a seal that lets oil onto the plate will otherwise have you splitting it again before long. Look at the flywheel too. Scoring or blue heat marks mean the face needs machining before the new plate goes in.
The braking side is covered by fixed calipers and bleed valves. After fitting a caliper, bleed the system starting from the furthest point and keep going until no more bubbles appear. A seized bleed valve is better replaced than forced, because one snapped off inside the caliper costs far more time. For the linkage there are sealing rings for the lift shaft, and repair sets for parts such as the feed pump.
Alternators and starter motors keep the AgroPrima running, while push button switches operate items like the work lights. In the cab, gas struts hold the door, front or rear window open. For hitching there are drawbars, drawbar frames and trailer couplings, including ROCKINGER. Exhaust gaskets round off the list.
An alternator that has stopped charging is not always faulty itself. First check whether the charge warning light comes on with the ignition. If it stays dark, the alternator is not being excited and the fault usually lies in the wire or the bulb. After fitting a starter motor, clean all the earth connections or the slow start may come back. A drawbar should slide easily in the rail of its frame, so clean the rail and give it a thin coat of grease to keep the locking reliable. An exhaust gasket is always fitted new, even if the old one still looks intact.
Check the type plate to confirm it is the AgroPrima 6.06, and if in doubt note the number on the old part. Compare that with the reference number shown for the product. With alternators and starter motors that share the same housing shape, this is what prevents a wrong order.
The Deutz-Fahr AgroPrima 6.16 from the same series has its own page with the parts that fit it. Any other Deutz-Fahr tractor can be picked from Deutz-Fahr parts.
