Trailer couplings, electrics and engine components all appear among the more than 50 parts listed here for the 6 Agrotron series Deutz-Fahr 6165 Agrotron.
The 6165 Agrotron carries technology you will not find on an older tractor: an injection system with a rail pressure sensor, AdBlue dosing and sensors that keep watch on the exhaust gas. This page has more than 50 parts that fit the Deutz-Fahr 6165 Agrotron, from GRANIT and from makers such as BOSCH, VICTOR REINZ, Walterscheid and Sauermann.
On the fuel side there are injectors, a feed pump, a rail pressure sensor kit and O-rings for the injection pump. When you work on this system, cleanliness matters more than speed. Clean around a pipe before loosening it, cap open ports straight away and always refit an injector with a new seal. A single grain of grit is enough to make an injector stick.
The fuel cap also comes in a lockable version, which makes sense if the tractor is left overnight on outlying fields.
For the aftertreatment you will find a NOX sensor, a gasket for the AdBlue injection unit and temperature sensors, including one for the EGR module. A NOX sensor fault code does not always mean the sensor itself has failed. Check the plug and the wiring loom where it runs past the hot exhaust first, because a melted wire throws the same code.
If the head has to come off, there is a cylinder head gasket, with VICTOR REINZ among the makers. Find out whether the head bolts may be reused, since stretch bolts are meant to be replaced once they have been torqued. A fresh thermostat brings the engine back up to proper running temperature. At the rear there are drawbars, adapter plates, a Piton Fix, an automatic ball hitch and forced steering parts.
When a new feed pump goes in, change the fuel filter at the same time and bleed the system thoroughly afterwards. Air in the lines causes starting trouble that looks like a faulty pump, even though the new pump is fine.
The type plate tells you whether the tractor really is a 6165 Agrotron. Next, compare the number on the old part with the reference number listed with the product. For sensors, the shape of the connector is a useful extra check, because very similar sensors sometimes use a different plug.
In the same Agrotron family, the Deutz-Fahr 6160 Agrotron and the Deutz-Fahr 6185 Agrotron each have their own page. For every model of the brand, head to Deutz-Fahr parts.
