Working on a Deutz-Fahr Agrotron K 90 from the Agrotron K series? More than 180 parts fit it, among them trailer couplings, engine parts and steering parts.
An Agrotron K 90 that has worked on the farm for years needs the routine jobs done well: a belt changed in time, a gasket that stops weeping, a starter that turns the engine over first thing on a cold morning. This page has more than 180 new replacement parts that fit the Deutz-Fahr Agrotron K 90, from GRANIT, Walterscheid, ROCKINGER, HELLA and Optibelt. They are aftermarket parts rather than dealer stock, made for jobs you do yourself.
Before you change a starter, measure the battery voltage and check the earth cables. A tired battery or a corroded terminal sounds exactly like a failed starter when you turn the key. At the back there are drawbars for the pick-up rail, Piton Fix hitches and adapter plates. A worn pick-up rail lets the trailer push when you brake, so it is worth checking the guides while you are working at the back anyway.
For the belt drive there are V-belts, including the one for the aircon compressor, and multi-rib belts. For the engine and hydraulics you will find valve cover gaskets, other gaskets, sealing rings and a hydraulic pump seal.
When you change a belt, look beyond the belt itself. Spin every pulley and tensioner by hand. A tensioner that rumbles or has play will chew through a new belt quickly. Check the pulley grooves for shiny, worn flanks. Tension a new V-belt correctly and recheck it after the first few hours, as a new belt settles slightly. Lay a valve cover gasket dry on a clean, dry face with no oil on it and tighten the bolts evenly in a cross pattern. Overtightening distorts the cover and makes it leak again.
The K 90 has sister models with their own page: the Deutz-Fahr Agrotron K 100, Deutz-Fahr Agrotron K 110 and Deutz-Fahr Agrotron K 120. If you are not certain which one you have, read the serial plate before ordering. For a belt, compare length and profile with the old one. For a starter, use the number on the starter's own data plate. Every other model is listed under Deutz-Fahr parts.
