The Valtra 6100, also known as the Valmet 6100, belongs to the Mezzo series. Here you will find more than 110 parts for lighting, steering and electrics.
Valmet on the bonnet, Valtra on the paperwork? For parts it makes no difference, because the Valtra 6100 is the same tractor as the Valmet 6100. This page lists more than 110 parts that fit it, from GRANIT, Scharmüller, DANA Spicer, LUK and MAHLE.
Around the engine there are valve cover gaskets, valve cover seals, a crankshaft seal and gaskets such as the one for the silencer. For the driveline you will find clutch plates and O-rings, for example for the differential. Repair kits let you overhaul a component instead of replacing it outright when the housing is still sound.
The steering side has ball joints and separate balls. At the rear there is a ball drawbar. In the cab you will find door locks, and for lighting there are work lamps, indicator position lights and a flasher unit.
Do not replace the clutch plate on its own if the pressure plate or release bearing is also worn. Look at the flywheel when it is out. Grooves or blue heat spots on the friction face mean it needs skimming or replacing, otherwise the new plate will judder or slip. If the indicators suddenly flash fast or not at all, check the bulbs and earth first and the flasher unit after that. A dab of contact grease on the plugs of work lamps and indicator lights keeps moisture and corrosion out. To feel play in a ball joint, rest your hand on it while someone turns the steering wheel back and forth.
Stop cables are on this page as well. After fitting one, check that the engine shuts down fully with the cable pulled all the way out and that the cable springs back on its own. Route it without tight bends and give it a drop of oil now and then, so it keeps running smoothly and the engine does not carry on idling when you want it off.
The 6100 is part of the Mezzo series, which includes several models that look alike at first glance. The data plate settles it. With a clutch plate, also check the number printed on the plate and the spline count in the hub. With gaskets and seals, the old one is usually the best thing to compare against.
