Depending on the market it went to, the bonnet says Valtra or Valmet, but underneath it is the same 6300 from the Mezzo series. For this tractor we have brought together more than 170 replacement parts from GRANIT, DANA Spicer, Scharmüller, GRAMMER and Walterscheid. These are new parts matched to this model, for the servicing you do in your own workshop.
The feed pump lifts diesel from the tank to the injection pump. When it starts to fail, the tractor is hard to start or dies under load. For the 6300 there are feed pumps, plus separate seals and O-rings for the pump, so a leaking unit can often be resealed rather than replaced outright.
After fitting or repairing a feed pump, the fuel system needs bleeding. Work the hand primer until only diesel without any bubbles comes out of the bleed screw on the filter housing, close the screw and only then start the engine. Cranking with air in the lines just punishes the battery and the starter motor.
For the driveline there are clutch plates. On the front axle you will find ball joints and seal kits, as well as repair kits and bolt sets, for instance for the steering valve. A repair kit holds the rings and small parts you would replace together during an overhaul anyway, which saves hunting for each piece.
Anyone climbing in and out all day knows the door lock that eventually stops catching. For the 6300 there are door locks, air suspended tractor seats and work lamps. The electrical side is covered with alternators and flasher units. By the way, if the indicators suddenly flash twice as fast, a blown bulb is the usual culprit rather than the flasher unit. There are also stop cables and ball type drawbars for the rail system.
Check the data plate on the tractor and find the reference number on the old part. Compare it with the details on the product. Because this model is known under two brand names, it helps to check both when in doubt.
