Got a Valtra N 113 from the N3 series in the yard? Find more than 100 parts here, such as trailer couplings, electrics, and steering and front axle parts.
Once a Valtra N 113 has racked up serious hours, the hitch, the driveline and the cooling system are where the work starts. There are more than 100 replacement parts that fit it, from GRANIT, DANA Spicer, Scharmüller, Walterscheid and BOSCH.
At the rear there are ball type drawbars and separate ball inserts from Scharmüller. A ball hitch wears on the top surface where the trailer eye bears down, so check it regularly and replace the insert before the coupling starts to knock. For the cab there is a door lock, and for working after dark a work lamp.
Transmission parts include clutch sets, gear wheels, adapter plates and differential bevel gears, along with a gear reduction starter. Differential bevel gears and planet pinions wear as a group. If one gear shows pitting or chipped teeth, inspect its partners and the thrust washers too.
A slipping fan clutch lets the fan lag behind and the engine runs hot under load. Spin the fan by hand while the engine is still cold and it should resist noticeably. If it spins freely or there is oil around the clutch, replace it.
With the electric cooling fan, check the fuse and the plug before anything else. If the fan feels rough when turned by hand or makes noise, its motor is worn and a new fan is the answer. Replacement adapter plates and gear wheels are easiest to match using the number stamped on the old part.
A gear reduction starter that only clicks is not always faulty itself. Check the battery, the earth strap and the solenoid terminal before replacing it, since a poor connection gives the same symptom. If the door lock no longer catches, the lock is usually to blame rather than the door. After fitting a new one, adjust the striker so the door closes without force and does not rattle. A work lamp that keeps failing from vibration needs a firm bracket and a clean earth connection.
The serial number is on the type plate of the N 113. When in doubt, go by the number on the old part, on the starter or fan clutch for example, and search the shop with it. The other tractors in the N series each have a separate page:
