For the engine there are turbochargers, exhaust manifold seals, valve cover gaskets, piston ring sets and seal kits. When you fit a turbocharger, change the engine oil and filter as well and make sure the new turbo is fed with oil before the engine fires. Crank the engine for a few seconds without letting it start. A dry start takes a lot of life out of a new turbo. A whistle from the engine under load is worth tracing to the manifold seal before you blame the turbocharger.
At the front there are ball joints, separate balls and bolt sets, including one for the steering valve. The axle takes O-rings for the differential, and at the rear you will find drawbars with a ball.
Play in a ball joint is easiest to check with two people. One rocks the steering wheel gently from side to side while the other holds the joint. A clunk you can feel in the steering wheel before the front wheels react usually points to a tired joint. Have the toe-in checked after replacing it.
Inside the cab there is an air suspended GRAMMER tractor seat, and door locks. For lighting you will find work lamps, indicator and position lights, and flasher units. If the indicators suddenly flash twice as fast, a bulb has usually failed. If the fault stays after changing the bulb, the flasher unit is the next suspect.
If the air suspended seat slowly sinks while you sit on it, air is escaping somewhere. Door locks are another small item that causes a lot of trouble: a door that swings open on the move is a nuisance in the field and a danger on the road.
The type plate confirms that you have a 6350. The badge on the hood may read Valtra or Valmet, but the type designation 6350 is what counts when ordering. Once the old part is off, compare the reference number on it with the parts on this page. For door locks, check which side you need.
