Steering, front axle, electrics and lighting: more than 110 parts for the Valtra 6750 from the Hitech series are listed here. Some know it as the Valmet 6750.
Plenty of these tractors still wear the Valmet badge, and the Valmet 6750 and Valtra 6750 are one and the same machine. Given the hours these tractors have clocked, an engine overhaul is often next on the list, and that is where this page earns its place. More than 110 parts fit the 6750, from makers such as GRANIT, Scharmüller, DANA Spicer, MAHLE and Cobo.
For the bottom end and top end there are piston ring sets, connecting rod bolts, a crankshaft seal and a valve cover gasket, along with seal kits, O-rings and individual seals such as the one between the exhaust manifold and turbocharger.
Always fit new connecting rod bolts during a rebuild. They stretch slightly when torqued and will not hold the same clamping force a second time. Oil the threads and tighten in stages to the engine figures. Press the new crankshaft seal in square, and never drag its lip over a sharp edge or keyway, or it will weep before the tractor has done a day of work.
If the indicators suddenly flash at double speed, a bulb has usually blown or a holder has a poor contact. Only once every bulb and earth connection checks out is the flasher unit itself the likely fault. The unit for this tractor comes with a holder and a connection for the warning lamp, so photograph the plug before pulling it off and every wire goes back where it belongs.
To check a ball joint, have someone rock the steering wheel while you watch the joint. Visible movement between ball and housing means it is worn. Count the turns as you unscrew the old one and wind the new joint in by the same amount, which keeps the toe setting close until it can be checked properly.
The data plate confirms the model. For engine parts and seals, the number cast or printed on the old component is the safest reference to check against the details given with each product.
Within the Hitech range the 6750 has plenty of company. If you also run another tractor from that range, it has its own page:
The Valtra 8950 is part of the same range. For that one and every other model, go to the overview of Valtra parts.
