Got a Valtra A 93 from the A series? Choose from more than 90 parts here, including steering and front axle components, electrics and lighting.
Hard starting or a rough idle on a Valtra A 93 often points to the fuel system, and several of the parts on this page deal with exactly that. Alongside them are wear items for cooling, lighting and the hitch. Altogether there are more than 90 replacement parts from suppliers including GRANIT, BOSCH, Walterscheid, Cobo and DANA Spicer.
For the common rail system there are metering units, injection lines for the individual cylinders and a pressure sensor. Once an injection line has been removed, it is better to fit a new one than to refit the old. The sealing cone deforms as it is tightened and rarely seals properly a second time. Cleanliness matters too, because dirt in a high pressure system damages injectors.
Oil dripping from the back of the engine usually means the rear crankshaft seal. When fitting a new one, try not to run the lip on exactly the same groove as the old seal. The A 93 page also includes thermostats, a water pump seal, a gasket between the silencer and the turbocharger, and alternators for the charging circuit.
Change the hydraulic oil filter with every oil change. Wipe a film of clean oil on the rubber seal of the new filter before screwing it on, so it seals well and comes off again next time. There is a door lock for the cab, work lamps for the roof or fenders, indicator and position lights for the front and a connection cable for trailers or implements. For the back of the tractor there are drawbars and ball hitches.
A door lock that no longer latches properly is more than a nuisance, as a door swinging open on the move can damage the hinges and the glass. Adjust the new lock to the striker so the door shuts without force. For the drawbar and ball hitch, check the rail width and the pin diameter, and keep the ball lightly greased so ball and cup last longer.
The identification plate confirms that you are working on an A 93. On the metering unit and the pressure sensor, the reference number is normally printed on the housing, which you can compare with the product information. With injection lines, note the cylinder number, as every line has its own shape.
Three sister models have their own pages, which saves time if you run more than one Valtra:
