This is the parts page for the Valtra N 101 in the N1 series. It has more than 140 items, including trailer couplings, electrics and lighting.
Blue smoke or a whistle under acceleration on a Valtra N 101 often means the turbo or a seal on the exhaust side has had its day. This page lists more than 140 parts for the N 101, from GRANIT and from brands such as DANA Spicer, Scharmüller, Walterscheid and GRAMMER.
For the engine there are remanufactured turbochargers, exhaust manifold seals at the turbo, upper engine seal kits, crankshaft seals and complete pistons. Radiator hoses cover the cooling side.
Before a new turbocharger goes on, change the engine oil and filter and prime the turbo through the oil feed with clean oil. Let the engine idle for a moment without touching the throttle, so the bearings are lubricated before the turbo spins up. Always fit a new seal between manifold and turbo, as a used one will leak and whistle.
A radiator hose that cracks near the clamps or feels hard should come off before it gives up on a hot day, ideally with new clamps.
Lighting parts include H4 headlights, LED headlights with dipped and main beam, flood beam work lamps and a flasher unit. If the indicators suddenly flash twice as fast, a bulb on that side has usually failed or a holder has poor contact. Only when every bulb and earth point checks out is the flasher unit itself the suspect.
Switching to LED headlights puts more light on the road while drawing less current. Aim them properly after fitting so you do not dazzle oncoming traffic.
Door locks and a tractor seat fit the cab, and there is an aircon compressor for the climate system. Run the air conditioning for a few minutes now and then during winter, which keeps the compressor seals supple and saves you a leak in spring. A stiff door lock often frees up with a little dry lubricant, but if the door no longer latches securely, a new lock is the safer fix. At the rear you will find ball drawbars and separate balls to replace one that has worn.
Your first step is the serial number on the type plate. Valtra places the N 101 in its N1 range, which helps when a part lists several models. Also take the reference number from the old part and compare it with the product details. For engine parts, the number on the engine block gives extra certainty.
From the same range there are pages for the Valtra N 91, Valtra N 111, Valtra N 121 and Valtra N 141, handy when you look after several Valtra tractors. Everything for the brand is under Valtra parts.
