A Valtra N 104 spends plenty of its life pulling a tipping trailer, a bale cart or a slurry tanker. That is why a good share of the more than 50 parts on this page are for the rear of the tractor, alongside parts for cooling, hydraulics and the cab.
For towing you will find drawbars with a ball, a ball hitch and screw-in ball adapters. For a pick-up hitch there are inserts and Piton Fix pins, and to mount it all there are adapter plates and support plates. Trailers with a self-steering axle are covered too, with parts for forced steering. Scharmüller and Walterscheid are among the makers here. A screw-in ball adapter turns an existing drawbar into a ball hitch, which is handy if you switch between trailers with a ring eye and ones with a ball cup. Recheck the nut after the first few loaded runs.
A ball hitch is meant to run greased. Left dry, the ball and the cup in the drawbar eye wear quickly, and you will hear it as a hard knock when pulling away and braking. Clean the ball regularly and apply a thin layer of grease. Measure it now and then as well, and if it has clearly worn out of round, fit a new one. With forced steering, also check the mountings of the steering rods, which take heavy loads on headland turns.

The type plate confirms you have an N 104. For hitch parts, two more measurements matter, and you take them on the tractor itself: the rail width of the existing hitch mounting and the diameter of the locking pin. With those, you can pick the right adapter plate or Piton Fix. For hoses, sensors and pipes, look for a reference number on the part you removed.
