More than 110 parts for the Valtra N 123 from the N3 series in one place, including trailer couplings, electrics and parts for steering and the front axle.
The Valtra N 123 is often asked to work long days without a break, and the cooling system and driveline feel that first. This page lists more than 110 parts that fit the Valtra N 123, including components from GRANIT, DANA Spicer, Scharmüller, Walterscheid and BOSCH.
For the cooling system there are thermostats, temperature sensors, fan clutches and electric cooling fans. If the gauge starts creeping up, begin with the easiest check. After a run, feel the top and bottom radiator hoses. If the top one is hot and the bottom one is still cold, the thermostat is probably not opening properly.
The fan clutch, often called a viscous coupling, only lets the fan drive properly once things warm up. With a cold engine the fan should turn fairly easily by hand, with a warm engine noticeably harder. If it spins just as easily when warm, the clutch is no longer engaging and the radiator is starved of air. That is a common cause of overheating in summer.
From DANA Spicer and GRANIT there are gear wheels, differential bevel gears and clutch plate sets. These are parts for anyone opening up an axle or transmission. Work as cleanly as you can during assembly, because a grain of sand between plates or teeth does more damage than you would expect. Refill with the correct oil after the repair and check the level again after the first few hours of work.
Gear reduction starters from BOSCH and GRANIT, work lamps, door locks, seals and O-rings, for example for the oil filler cap, are here as well. At the back there are drawbars, ball 80 inserts and adapter plates for the hitch.
A stiff door lock does not always need replacing straight away. Try a dry lubricant in the lock barrel and on the mechanism inside the door first. If the door still does not latch cleanly, or the catch is worn, a new lock is the tidy fix. When ordering, check if you need the left or the right hand version.
The serial plate on the N 123 shows the model and serial number. Keep those details to hand when choosing a part, together with the number on the old component. On gears it is usually stamped into the metal, on a thermostat or sensor it is printed on the housing.
In the Valtra line-up, the N 123 counts as one of the N3 tractors. The other models in that range each have their own page with the parts that apply to them: the Valtra N 103, Valtra N 113, Valtra N 143 and Valtra N 163. For an older Valmet or another model from the brand, go to Valtra parts.
