With the right parts, a Valtra N 91 will keep working for a good many seasons yet. This page lists more than 130 of them that fit the model, from GRANIT together with DANA Spicer, Scharmüller, Walterscheid and GRAMMER.
Top and bottom radiator hoses keep the cooling system sealed. A hose that feels soft or shows cracks near the clamps is better replaced in the yard than after it bursts in the field.
For the engine there are remanufactured turbochargers, exhaust manifold seals at the turbo, manifold gaskets, seal kits, crankshaft seals and cylinder head bolts.
When fitting a turbocharger, prime it with clean engine oil through the oil feed before the first start, then let the engine idle for a moment so the shaft never runs dry. With a new head gasket, always use new cylinder head bolts, as the old ones have already stretched when they were last tightened. Torque them in the correct sequence and in stages.
For lighting there are headlights, LED headlights, work lamps and flasher units. If the indicators suddenly flash twice as fast, a failed bulb is the usual cause rather than the flasher unit. In the cab there are door locks and tractor seats, and for towing there are ball drawbars and separate balls.
A cab door that no longer shuts cleanly is not always down to the lock. First check whether the striker plate on the pillar has shifted and adjust it if needed. If the lock itself is stiff, use a dry lubricant such as graphite or silicone spray instead of grease, since grease traps dust and makes the lock heavier over time.
A sagging tractor seat makes a long day on the N 91 harder work. When replacing one, compare the mounting points underneath so the new seat fits the console without modification.
Check the type plate to confirm it is an N 91. A turbocharger, door lock or headlight usually carries a reference number, which you compare with the product details. For radiator hoses, it helps to know if you need the top or the bottom one.
