Steering, front axle, trailer coupling or electrics: for the Valtra T 120 from the T series you can choose from more than 140 parts that belong to this model.
Play in the steering, a door that no longer latches properly, or an indicator that suddenly flashes too fast: these are the complaints that come with a Valtra T 120 that has put in a lot of hours. This page lists more than 140 parts that fit this tractor, made by GRANIT, DANA Spicer, Scharmüller, Walterscheid and GRAMMER.
Steering is covered with ball joints, and the front axle with O-rings and seal kits, including ones for the differential. After replacing a ball joint you need to reset the toe-in. Count how many turns the old joint sat on the track rod as you remove it and screw the new one on by the same number, which gets you close. Then measure the difference between front and rear at the rim edges and adjust until the wheels point slightly inwards.
An indicator that suddenly flashes twice as fast almost always means a blown bulb on that side, not a faulty flasher unit. Check the bulbs first before replacing the unit. If you switch to LED lamps, you will need a flasher unit made for them.
If the temperature gauge stays low or the cab takes ages to warm up, the thermostat is often stuck open. Hang the old one in a pan of water and heat it slowly. If it does not open, it is finished. A new thermostat always gets a new gasket. When the door no longer latches well, lubricate the lock and striker first and see whether the striker can be adjusted before fitting a new door lock. And the ball on the drawbar should be lightly greased, or the ball and the trailer socket wear much faster.
The type plate on your T 120 shows the type and serial number. Where you can, bring the number from the old part into the comparison too, because thermostats and gaskets come in versions that look very much alike. These tractors from the T series also have their own page, where you check fitment model by model:
