If you run a Valtra T 170, this page gives you more than 150 matching parts. Trailer couplings, electrics and lighting for the T series make up the bulk.
You spend long days in the cab of a Valtra T 170, and that is often where wear catches your eye first. This page holds more than 150 parts for the T 170 from GRANIT, GRAMMER, Scharmüller, Walterscheid and DANA Spicer.
For the engine there are valve cover gaskets, a variety of seals including the thermostat gasket, seal kits and O-rings, for instance for the feed pump. Thermostats, engine sensors and hose elbows complete this part of the list.
A hose elbow that has gone hard or porous often only leaks once the engine is warm. Squeeze it when the engine is cold. If it feels hard and crunchy, or soft and swollen, it is due for replacement, and rusty hose clips should go at the same time. If the display flags a fault on an engine sensor, check the plug and wiring for corrosion and chafing before replacing the sensor itself.
When fitting a valve cover gasket, clean and degrease both faces, skip the sealant unless this engine calls for it, and tighten the bolts evenly in a crosswise pattern. Overtightening distorts the cover, and then even a brand new gasket will leak.
There are complete tractor seats, including air suspended versions, and door locks for the cab. A stiff lock can sometimes be freed up with a dry lubricant, but once the door no longer latches, a new lock is the proper fix.
Lighting parts include headlights, LED headlights and work lamps, plus the flasher unit for the indicators. If you switch to LED indicators, you may need a different flasher unit, because LEDs draw so little current that a standard unit starts flashing too fast. For the rear there are ball drawbars. Check the rail width and pin of the frame already on the tractor, as those decide which drawbar will fit.
The T series includes several Valtra models, so start with the data plate. A reference number on the old part is then the quickest way to be sure. Gaskets and seals often have no number at all, in which case lay the old one next to the new one and compare shape and holes.
The other tractors in the series have their own pages:
Older Valmet tractors and the rest of the brand are on Valtra parts.
