Does your Valtra T 171 need a new part? This page lists more than 120 items for the T1 series, such as trailer couplings, lighting and electrics.
An engine running hot or a cab door that will not latch are problems on a Valtra T 171 that you want sorted straight away. This page holds more than 120 parts for this model, with a clear group around the cooling system plus lighting, air conditioning, seals and hitch parts.
For the cooling circuit there are radiator hoses, including the top hose to the radiator, hose elbows, a thermostat and its gasket. O-rings, a crankshaft seal and seals for the lubrication line are here as well.
Radiator hose tip: with the engine cold, squeeze each hose by hand. One that feels hard and crunchy, or soft and swollen near the clamp, is due for replacement even if it has not started leaking. Fit new hoses with clean clamps and bleed the system after filling, otherwise an air pocket can sit at the thermostat and the temperature will still climb.
A left-hand door lock keeps the cab shut. For cooling the cab there is an aircon compressor driven by its pulley off the engine belt. Lighting covers headlights, LED driving lights and flood beam work lamps, and a flasher unit with holder is the part to check when the indicators blink too fast or stop altogether.
Swap filament bulbs for LED lights and the flasher unit may suddenly blink fast, because it reads the lower current as a failed bulb. A flasher unit suited to the new lighting cures that without fitting resistors. If the indicators go silent altogether, check the fuse and the earth at the lamps first, as those are more often the cause than the unit itself.
At the rear you will find a ball drawbar and separate balls. The makers include Scharmüller, Walterscheid, DANA Spicer, Cobo and GRANIT.
Before ordering, check the type plate to be certain you are working on a T 171. For hoses and gaskets, the part number on the old piece saves guesswork, as two hoses can look alike and still have a slightly different bend. Hold the old hose against the new one before fitting it.
From the same series, the Valtra T 151 has its own page with the parts that fit it, which helps when two Valtras share the yard. All other models from the brand, older Valmet tractors included, are reached through Valtra parts.
