What fits a Valtra M 150? This page answers that with more than 120 parts, including trailer couplings, electrics and steering and front axle parts.
The Valtra M 150 from the M series is a tractor that contractors and larger dairy farms run all year round. More than 120 parts fit it, from GRANIT, Scharmüller, DANA Spicer, Walterscheid and Cobo.
There are headlights, work lamps and LED headlights with dipped and main beam. A flasher unit with holder and indicator warning is listed too. If you are switching to LED lights, be aware that a standard flasher unit often reads the lower current draw of LED lamps as a failed bulb and starts flashing fast. In that case, fit a flasher that is rated for LED.
For heavy haulage there are ball drawbars, separate ball inserts and adapter plates. On a ball hitch, the ball is what wears first. Check it with a caliper from time to time and make sure the hold down still closes firmly. If you can feel play between ball and drawbar eye, replace the ball insert before the rest of the hitch starts to suffer.
Engine parts include a thermostat, an engine speed sensor and a crankshaft seal. Sealing rings, oil O-rings, seal kits and an exhaust seal for the turbocharger manifold are also listed. For the cab there is a door lock.
An engine speed sensor that throws fault codes is not always faulty. Take it out and look at the tip. If it is coated with metal swarf or oily sludge, clean it and refit it with the correct gap to the toothed wheel. Only if the fault returns is replacement the next step. A new thermostat always gets a new seal, and after refilling you let the engine warm up with the heater open so the air can escape from the cooling system.
A door lock that sticks or no longer latches is a familiar annoyance in the cab. If the spring or the mechanism is worn, replace the lock as a whole, since piecemeal repairs rarely last. Fit the crankshaft seal with the lip facing the oil and check that the running surface on the crankshaft is smooth.
In our shop the M 150 appears under the brand name Valtra-Valmet. The serial plate confirms that the tractor is this model and not another one from the M series. If the old part has a number on it, compare it with the reference number listed with the product, which is the safest check for seals.
All other models from the brand are on Valtra parts, each with a page of its own.
