Looking for Valtra T 174 parts from the T4 series? Here are more than 50 matching items, covering trailer couplings, electrics, brakes and transmission.
When a Valtra T 174 runs hotter than usual or the display flags an exhaust fault, the hunt usually starts with a sensor or a hose. This page holds more than 50 replacement parts for the tractor, from GRANIT, Scharmüller, Walterscheid and Wabco, plus a few items under the MASSEY FERGUSON name.
Radiator hoses, thermostats and temperature sensors keep the engine in its working window. A hose that feels soft or has swollen at the clamp should be replaced before it bursts, and fit new hose clamps while you are at it. The belt tensioner keeps the belt for the water pump and alternator tight. If the belt squeals or the tensioner arm judders, inspect the belt itself for cracks as well.
NOx sensors sit in the exhaust and can seize solid. Let the exhaust cool until it is just warm, use penetrating oil and a proper sensor socket, and only unplug the lead once the sensor is out. A touch of high temperature anti seize on the new thread makes the next change easier, unless the sensor comes pre coated.
The T 174 uses a pick up hitch at the rear, and for that there are drawbars, screw ball adapters, support plates, adapter plates and the Piton Fix system. For trailers with a steered axle you will find forced steering parts, such as the insert that links the trailer's steering rod to the tractor. Lockable fuel caps, seals for pressure lines and a rear view mirror round things off.
Read the model and serial number off the type plate. Sensors and thermostats usually carry their reference number on the part itself. Check it against the product description, because temperature sensors in particular come in several versions that look almost identical.
Forced steering is all about precision. The insert and the steering rod must sit without play, otherwise the trailer will not follow the tractor's track neatly through bends and its tyres wear unevenly. When hitching up, check that the insert's locking device is properly secured and that the rod moves freely at full lock. Tighten a screw ball adapter to the correct torque and check it again after the first day of work.
Each of those pages shows only what is approved for that tractor, so there is no guesswork. Parts for other Valtra-Valmet tractors are gathered on Valtra parts.
