Selected for the Valtra S 374 of the S4 series: more than 70 parts, with trailer couplings, electrics and engine components as the main groups.
On a big tractor like the Valtra S 374, it is rarely a single wear part that needs attention. The sensors around the engine, the brackets that carry the fenders and the hitch at the rear all take their share. This page lists more than 70 replacement parts for the model from GRANIT, Scharmüller, Walterscheid, BOSCH and SACHS.
For the engine there are rail pressure sensors, temperature sensors, signal transmitters and NOx sensors. A rail pressure sensor reads the pressure in the fuel rail, and the injection is controlled from that reading. When working on the fuel system, keep everything spotlessly clean and shut the engine down well beforehand so the rail pressure has dropped. Seals for pressure pipes, silencer gaskets and O-rings make sure everything is tight again after the repair. A belt tensioner keeps the drive belt taut.
Fender brackets and fender springs have a hard life on the road and on rough farm tracks. A broken bracket lets the fender hit the tyre, so replace a cracked one in good time and check the spring while you are there, since a tired spring lets the fender swing further. Vented fuel tank caps are listed too. If the vent blocks, a vacuum builds in the tank and the engine can stall mid job.
For hitching there are drawbars, screw ball adapters and a retrofit swinging drawbar. If you pull a trailer with a steered axle, forced steering parts are on this page as well.
A NOx sensor on the S 374 calls for a patient approach. Let the exhaust cool, clean the area around the sensor and use penetrating oil if it is stuck. Follow the cable back to its plug and only disconnect it once you know where the new lead will run, because a cable resting against a hot exhaust part will not last. After fitting, it can take a while before the engine electronics recognise the new sensor and any warnings clear.
Check the type plate for the model and serial number. With sensors, the reference number on the old unit is the safest guide, since plugs and threads can differ between versions. Check that number against the details listed with the part, and only then place your order.
The Valtra S 274 comes from the same line. For every other model from the brand, from older Valmet tractors to current series, go to Valtra parts.
